Ellen Suurmeyer

I am a graduate student pursuing a Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. I am based in the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology department at The University of Arizona, and I conduct my field research in central Panama. My work focuses on evolutionary and functional aspects of the fig-fig wasp mutualism, with a special focus on microbial components of this interaction and the dynamics of gall formation in figs.
